Bombay Bad Dreams

Blowhard chef Gordon Ramsay will try straightening out Dillons, an Indian restaurant in midtown, a few blocks away from his own restaurant Gordon Ramsay at The London. If the previews are any indication, it looks like a stomach turning episode.

Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares - Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox. Episode air date 9/26/07.

Purnimas was the same restaurant that SAJA had their post convention brunch a couple of months ago.

I’m confused– they’re rebranding Purnima’s as Dillons for the TV makeover? Purnima’s is too Indian for an Indian restaurant?

This chef is a guy called Vikas Khanna, he used to consult at this place downtown called Spice Route AKA Tandoor Palace II which has since closed.

Yea, the site listed on Fox is for a restaurant than the one named in the photograph. I guess we’ll find out next Wednesday at 9 on your local Fox station. Check local listings.

P.S. I do not work for Fox.

I agree that Vikas Khanna rocked in the show. Knowing Vikas I thought that he was a total opposite of Gordon……but we loved it and him

The show was interesting… I would feel really sick if I had eaten there before, but I guess that’s the crapshoot of dining out? The old manager was really chumped on that episode. Not sure what he was doing managing and Indian restaurant in the first place. The separate Indian and American menus reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry convinced Babu Bhatt to changeover his restaurant to Pakistani food.

I was surprised that the =idiot manager is suing Gordon. For what? Martin seemed to be so lazy and fake man. Yes, I believe it that Vikas was the key player of the show.
