this was the exact premise behind shah rukh’s fauji. shah rukh and his commando buddies are dropped in pak to assassinate some paki dude. then shah rukh doesn’t return home so his lover weeps all over her chunni. finally in last episode lover bumps into an injured shah rukh at a party and all is well. they used lots of actual weaponry and shot at the commando training range due to kapur’s access.
the director colonel kapur had a credible story but no budget, so you watch the washed out episodes on dvd these days, the antics are pretty laughable. shah rukh parachutes out of the plane and they cut to ground, don’t show any mid-air action, no bloody budget. he constantly smokes in the serial dunno if that is plus point or minus :) then that gorgeous lady with long tresses, i had my very first wet dream after i saw her getting close to shah rukh. i must have been 14 or so.
