The only thing faker than astroturf protests over a listless Gandhi striptease by a former circus clown from Brooklyn, are the Soviet-like effluences squirted across the Indian media:

… some outrageously vulgar scenes that one can’t relate to the Father of the Nation even in a nightmare… portraying Mahatma Gandhi in a cheap and vulgar way… [Link]

“… denigrate the honour of the father of the nation… assault the mind of the Indian people”… [Link]

“… passing vulgar gestures during a pole dance…” [Link]

“… vulgar and cheap act which is available for public view…” [Link]

“We were shuddered… We have decided to fast till the Indian government books him on the charges of treason…” [Link]

… ‘an assault to the dignity of the Father of the Nation…’ [Link]

“We felt humiliated and angry… we wanted to share the outrage with the people of India…” [Link]

This passing of cheap outrage and vulgar syntax in connivance with foreign cohorts that one can’t imagine even in a nightmare makes me shuddered.

Bear in mind that Gandhi’s not on one Indian note, he’s on every Indian bill that I’ve seen. While we’re hanging people for harshing your æsthetic, please include most Bollywood directors:
