Roti Roll

Roti Roll makes Bombay frankies by the Columbia campus at 109th and Amsterdam in Manhattan (thanks, Ennis). Their fancier rolls are a bit too sweet, and the one I got was served a bit too cold. However, their basic aloo masala wrap is hot, tasty, filling, and, at $3, easy on the wallet. It’s no Kati Roll Company, but it does just fine in a pinch.

This place gets late-night business from the numerous bars that line Amsterdam. It’s open until 1 am weekdays and 4 am weeknights and delivers until midnight ($12 minimum). Check it out.

yup! the food is good & don’t be afraid to check out the gay bar next door; the two places share a sliding glass window & i think you can order into the bar

We love this place and order from it all the time. Nothing else like it on the Upper West Side. Since Manish is a vegetarian , he has no way of knowing how great the chicken, shrimp and lamb versions are. Also terrific: the tandoori calamari(!) and the lollipop chiken.

The owner or manager is Sri Lankan Sinhalese. He was tickled by your comment, Sree.

And I had no idea the sliding door led to a gay bar. Here I thought it was just a fancy backroom. Now I know they were getting their rotis buttered.

much better than kati roll company. just order with extra spicy chutney in it… shrimp malai is the best!
